FAQ
How many pictures will we receive?
The amount of photos you receive depends on your session. For 1 hour sessions, you will receive 20 fully edited digital photos. When I send the gallery, I will include all the best photos from your session. You always have the option of purchasing more individual photos or purchasing the whole gallery!
How should we dress for our family session?
Choosing the right outfits for your family session can make all the difference in creating stunning and cohesive portraits that you'll cherish for years to come. Here are some tips to help you dress your best for your upcoming session:
Coordinate, Don't Match: Instead of everyone wearing the exact same outfit, aim for coordinated looks that complement each other. Choose a color palette with complementary tones and mix and match different textures and patterns for visual interest.
Consider the Location: Think about the location of your session when choosing your outfits. Opt for outfits that complement the surroundings and avoid clashing with the environment. For example, if you're shooting outdoors in a natural setting, earthy tones and soft pastels tend to work well.
Avoid Logos and Busy Patterns: Loud logos and busy patterns can be distracting in photos. Instead, opt for solid colors or subtle patterns that won't compete for attention. This allows the focus to remain on your family and the connection between you.
Comfort is Key: While you want to look your best, it's also essential to feel comfortable and confident in what you're wearing. Choose outfits that allow you to move freely and comfortably, especially if you'll be chasing after little ones during the session. If you are sensitive about a certain part of your body, don't choose an outfit that will accentuate it.
Accessorize Thoughtfully: Accessories can elevate your outfits and add personality to your photos. Consider adding accessories like statement jewelry, hats, belts, or scarves to complete your look. Just be mindful not to overdo it; less is often more when it comes to accessories.
Test Drive Your Outfits: Before the day of your session, try on your outfits as a family to ensure everything looks cohesive and coordinated. This can help you make any necessary adjustments. If you need a fresh set of eyes, I'm always available.
What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?
The best time to schedule a newborn session is typically within the first two weeks after your baby is born. During this time, newborns are usually sleepier, more flexible, and easier to pose, which allows for those adorable curled-up poses that are often desired in newborn photography.
We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?
Absolutely, it's completely normal to feel a bit nervous or self-conscious in front of the camera, especially if you're not used to being photographed. Rest assured, you're not alone in feeling this way, and it's perfectly okay!
As a photographer specializing in newborn and family sessions, my goal is to create a relaxed and comfortable environment where you and your family can feel at ease. I understand that being in front of the camera can feel intimidating, but I'm here to guide you every step of the way.
